I have new beaded eyeglass chains in the shop!

I really love designing and making jewelry for reading glasses. Why not dress them up with pretty beaded chains in juicy colors?

When I first started designing eyeglass chains, I discovered that a common complaint was that they broke easily and didn’t last long.
When I make beaded eyeglass chains, I string glass beads on C-Lon nylon beading cord, a 3-ply twisted multi-filament bonded nylon cord. This cord has a breaking point at approximately 75 lbs. which makes my eyeglass chains both flexible and durable.

(Here’s a chart from Marion Jewels & Fiber, the place I get my cord from: Thread Specifications and Notes, if you’d like to check it out.)
Anyway, using that cord and glass beads means it’s easy to care for – wipe with a soft towel, air dry, and you’re good to go.
See those lobster clasps on the ends? They make replacing the stretchy silicone holders if they stretch out. They are adjustable and eventually do wear out, but you can replace them! I put an extra pair of silicone holders in with every order, too. I check the lobster clasps to make sure they’re working properly, and secure every knot, so that I know it’s going to be a long-lasting, bead-i-full happymaker!
Do you need to dress up your glasses? You can see them all here!
More to come soon, Jool Lovers!
